New Jersey Community Water Watch is a project of NJPIRG Law and Policy Center and AmeriCorps that works to foster stewardship around local waterways. NJCWW works in 12 communities across New Jersey, to organize and activate college students and community members around local rivers and streams through community service and education. NJCWW AmeriCorps members recruit and train college students and run several programs including stewardship monitoring, organizing river cleanups, K-12 classroom education and service learning, and community education. In addition NJCWW works with local citizen groups, helping them to "adopt" local waterways. NJ Community Water Watch works across New Jersey, including in Newark, Patterson, New Brunswick, Princeton, Mercer County, Ocean County, Monmouth County, Atlantic City, and Camden.
