The Wetlands Institute is the mid-Atlantic region's leader in salt marsh and coastal ecology education. Besides a full range of programs designed to teach school groups about the area's unique ecology, the Institute also offers teacher training (Project WET, WILD, Aquatic WILD, WOW, PLT, Green Eggs & Sand, and others), monthly programs for homeschoolers, public workshops, and electronic field trips. The Institute believes in hands-on education, giving people the chance to explore their watersheds on foot, by kayak, and in pontoon boats.
