The goal of the Third River Watershed Characterization Project is to promote the study of future restoration efforts within the watershed. The watershed study entails the assessment of the biological and physical health of the river. This watershed project is administered and co-sponsored by the Clifton Environmental Protection Commission and the Clifton Health Department. These agencies are currently planning to expand their services to include activities such as water quality monitoring, and outreach programs including lectures and workshops for community members. The group holds regular meetings as part of the activities of the Clifton Environmental Protection Commission.
