The Newton Creek Watershed Association is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the natural resources of the Newton Creek Watershed. The Association offers nature walks, canoeing trips, birding and wildlife expeditions, and spring and fall creek cleanups with an emphasis placed on both the quality of the water and the surrounding land. The organization also conducts water quality monitoring in conjunction with the Delaware Riverkeeper Organization. Newton Creek Watershed Association is currently planning to hold seminars dealing with native vegetation and non-point source pollution, as well as a slide program detailing the natural beauty of the watershed and its wildlife.
